Social and emotional skills develop over time. Our teachers use gentle reminders, encouragement, positive reinforcement, and age-appropriate guidance to help children make positive choices. We strive to create a classroom where every child feels safe, understood, and encouraged to cooperate and grow.

Open Family Communication
Strong communication helps us provide the best possible experience for your child. Families are encouraged to share helpful information during drop-off and pick-up and may contact their child’s teacher with questions, updates, or concerns. Our administrative team is also available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

FAQs
Treasure Valley Fine Arts Preschool welcomes children ages 3–5. Children must be 3 years old by the first day of the school year.
Our Tuesday/Thursday program is designed for children ages 3–4 as they build comfort with classroom routines, independence, and time away from home. Our Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday program is available for children ages 4–5 and provides added consistency as they strengthen kindergarten-readiness skills.
Our core preschool program runs from 9:00–11:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday or Tuesday through Thursday, depending on your child’s age and enrollment option.
Families may also choose Extended Play or Extended Dance on available days. Details are available in our Extended Day program section.
Children do not need to be fully potty trained before enrolling. Pull-ups are welcome while children are developing bathroom independence.
Teachers provide reminders, verbal guidance, and limited assistance. Children should be working toward managing their clothing, wiping, and changing as independently as possible. We encourage families to share their child’s current needs so we can provide consistent support.
We would love to welcome your family for an in-person meeting and tour. This gives you an opportunity to see our space, learn more about the program, ask questions, and decide whether TVFAP feels like the right fit for your child.
After your visit, your child’s space is secured once we receive the completed registration packet and $40 enrollment fee. Enrollment is offered as space is available.
Each child should bring a full-size backpack, a labeled water bottle, one healthy nut-free snack, and a complete change of clothes in a labeled bag.
Children should wear comfortable, washable clothing that allows them to move, create, play outside, and use the bathroom independently. Closed-toe shoes with non-slip soles are required. Paint, glue, dirt, and water are all part of preschool life, because apparently tiny humans prefer learning at maximum mess.
Preschool begins promptly at 9:00 a.m., and families may arrive up to five minutes early. An authorized adult must enter the building, walk the child to the preschool classroom, and complete the daily sign-in process.
At dismissal, an authorized adult must enter the building and sign the child out. Children are released only to approved pickup individuals, and photo identification may be requested.
Families provide current health, allergy, medication, emergency-contact, and immunization information during enrollment and should notify us whenever anything changes.
TVFAP is a nut-free program. Children with serious or life-threatening allergies must have a current emergency action plan and any required medication on file. Prescription medication may only be administered when the required parent and healthcare-provider documentation has been provided. Our staff maintains current CPR and first-aid certification.
Families receive important information through email, text message, and the Wonderschool app. Wonderschool is used for student check-in and checkout, classroom communication, payments, announcements, and approved photo or video sharing.
We also email monthly newsletters with classroom updates, reminders, upcoming events, and information about what the children are learning.
Talk positively about preschool, establish a consistent morning routine, and reassure your child that you will return after class. Brief, confident goodbyes often help children settle into their day more comfortably. Our teachers will provide additional support as your child adjusts.
Yes! We love welcoming families into our preschool community. Parents and guardians may have opportunities to volunteer during Community Days, classroom celebrations, and other special activities throughout the year.
Visits and volunteer opportunities must be arranged and approved in advance so we can maintain a safe and organized classroom. We also welcome recommendations for Community Day guests who may enjoy sharing a profession, skill, talent, or special interest with our students.
