Information for Parents
It’s important to us that you feel comfortable and fully informed on how we operate our facility. If this information does not fully provide what you want to know, please contact us so we can discuss your child’s development needs.
-
Hours of Operation
Monday thru Friday 7:30 am to 2:30 pm
-
Communication
During drop off and pick-up, we encourage parents to provide us with any helpful information. You can also contact your students teacher.
-
Medical Information
We will collect medical information during registration.
-
Clothing
Exploration often requires getting messy! While we try to use washable paints and supplies, some colors and materials can still stain. Treasure Valley Fine Arts Preschool cannot ensure clothing will not get stained, so we recommend sending your child in clothing appropriate for messy play.
-
Snacks
Please send your child with a water bottle and healthy snack each day. If your child stays until 1 pm, please send them with a lunch.
-
Behavior
Our staff believes that discipline should encourage the child toward more positive behavior. Children will receive verbal reminders and positive reinforcement as needed. It is our goal that the use of these behavior management techniques will create an environment that will encourage cooperation and appropriate behavior.
FAQs
Students should come to school ready to play. We will have messy projects so we recommend avoiding sentimental clothing. We also recommend sturdy shoes for active play and dancing.
You should send your student(s) with a backpack each day that includes a snack, water bottle and extra clothes. Please do not send toys from home.
We are not a nut free facility. If your child has allergies, we will do our best to accommodate but please notify the director.
Children should be working on potty training and should be able to be changed standing up. All children will either use the toilet or be changed beside it and offered the opportunity to try to use the potty. Children will have to wash their hands after using the toilet or getting their diaper changed.
